The Program

This summer, study with world-renowned artists in the city that was the birthplace of one of the greatest musicians who ever lived--the "City of Mozart", "Festival city", "City of Music"--the city of Salzburg, Austria. The University of Miami School of Music at Salzburg, now in its 25th year, is a five-week, comprehensive study program offering group and private instruction as follows: The faculty are eminent scholars/performers from the University of Miami Phillip and Patricia Frost School of Music and other internationally recognized musicians and teachers. Your Austrian experience will be enriched by German language classes in beginning, intermediate or advanced levels, and by the option to live with a local host family. Concerts and special events in Salzburg's famous festival theaters, cathedrals, palaces, and the Mozarteum, as well as visits to historical sites in both Salzburg and Vienna, further enhance the program.

Salzburg is one of the most exciting places in Europe to spend your summer, especially when some of the world's greatest musicians convene for the prestigious Salzburg Festival, a festival of concerts and opera unmatched in range and quality.

The University of Miami Frost School of Music at Salzburg gratefully acknowledges the generous support of the Dr. M Lee Pearce Foundation.
