How to apply
Each applicant should submit the following on or before February 1, 2010:
1. A completed application form (download here)
2. A cassette or CD recording to include the following:
-Singers: A minimum of three contrasting art songs in two or more languages, and one or more opera or oratorio arias.
-Pianists: A minimum of three accompaniments with singer in contrasting styles and one solo piece.
Accompaniments must be recorded live and without interruption.
3. A brief statement of recommendation from your present or most recent teacher.
Please note: Due to the popularity of the program, the University of Miami regrets that it must cap enrollment for summer 2010. A maximum of 42 singers and 12 pianists will be accepted.4. A $30.00 Application Fee.
Deposit
Students accepted into the program will need to submit 2 NON-REFUNDABLE deposits of:
-$1,000 on or before March 1, 2010
-$1,000 on or before April 1, 2010 in order to guarantee housing reservations & ground transportation.
-Balance is due in May 1, 2010.
Program Cost: $5,950.00
$4,150.00 Tuition (Lessons, coachings, master classes, academic credits, etc.)
$1,800.00 (Housing, Tours, Meals-breakfasts, lunches, )
Responsibility
In the
event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort and
well-being of the participants, or for any reason whatever, to
alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be
made without penalty to the operators. Additional expenses, if
any, shall be borne by the participants. The right is reserved
to withdraw any or all classes or events should conditions
warrant, also to decline to accept or retain any participants as
members of the program. All prices quoted in this brochure are
based on international rates of exchange and tariffs in effect
December 1, 2008, and are subject
