The
University of Miami String Academy is a string preparatory program at
the Frost School of Music that offers lessons and classes to those
interested in studying violin, viola, cello, and double bass. Music
theory (including ear training and sight singing) and chamber music
classes are also offered. There are three programs: Strings for Kids
(ages 6-12), Strings for Teens (ages 13-18), and Strings for Adults
(adults).
Twelve weeks of instruction are offered
during a semester and a final concert is presented by students in each
semester. All classes take place on the Coral Gables campus of the
University of Miami.
