The Frost School of Music enjoys the support of The Friends of Music, an independent auxiliary fundraising organization that raises money for student scholarships and increases awareness of the Frost School’s excellent musical contributions to the South Florida cultural calendar.

Friends of Music events, held several times each semester, feature private performances by the Frost School’s best faculty artists and most promising student performers. All net proceeds from these special events are awarded as scholarships to the most deserving students.

Membership in the Friends of Music offers you the opportunity to attend special presentations at the Frost School, such as a recent master class given by the legendary mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne, as well as invitation to unique, private piano or musical theatre performances, held in the homes of some of South Florida’s devoted arts patrons. Each year the calendar is filled with events for music lovers and supporters of the Frost School of Music.

To join the Friends of Music and take part in their members-only events, contact Arlene Johnson at 305-283-2238, or email ajohnson@miami.edu.
